Elizabeth Costa is the Director of Instructional Development and Achievement at the Department of Education and Early Childhood in Prince Edward Island. She completed her PhD at the University of New Brunswick in 2010. The purpose of her research was to determine whether the implementation of multi-age advisory groups would enhance adolescent engagement. She has 25 years of classroom experience spanning grades 1-9, in both rural and intermediate Island schools. Along with teaching, she has worked as a math coach, an assessment consultant and a sessional instructor at UPEI. Elizabeth has extensive experience and education in educational leadership, assessment and professional development.
