  REASONS I’M A MEMBER OF THE TEAM:

As a former teacher and Senior Curriculum Policy Specialist in the Curriculum Policy Office, Ministry of Education, I bring a system-wide perspective regarding policy, curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in Singapore. I also have experience working on an international benchmarking study, TIMSS 2011 as a graduate student in Boston College.

The Curriculum Policy Office where I work focuses on matters relating to curriculum, policy and assessment issues, as well as policies that span across different disciplinary areas. One current area of work involves raising the assessment literacy of Singapore teachers. I am overseeing an evaluation study that examines the effectiveness of our professional development programme on assessment literacy. I am also working with a few schools to develop a Teaching and Learning Framework that will drive curriculum, assessment (both of and for learning), and pedagogy in the schools’ instructional programmes.
