Ernesto Panadero works as post-doctoral researcher at the Learning and Educational Technology Research Unit (LET team), at the University of Oulu (Finland). His research related to assessment covers aspect related to self-regulation and formative assessment. Specifically how enhancing self-assessment -mainly- and peer assessment through the use of assessment tools (rubrics and scripts) promotes self-regulation and learning. He also conducts research on the socially shared regulated learning phenomena.

REASONS I’M A MEMBER OF THE TEAM:

It has always been my interest to understand what is the role of assessment in learning. For that reason I focused in my PhD in exploring the impact of promoting self-assessment in the use of learning strategies (Self-regulated learning). More recently I have conducted research in peer assessment too.
